At Stargazer Studios we only teach what has become commonly known as “The European Piercing Technique” – a term coined first by Raven Rowanchilde of Urban Primitive, as it is the technique typically used by Europe’s most reputable piercers. I was shown this technique (at this point I had already been piercing for about 6 years using the “standard” North American method) while working at Urban Primitive by a German piercer who had been invited here for an information exchange with me.

Having observed this method only once I was completely sold – this method is definitely preferable to the technique commonly employed by most North American piercers. The needles used are far superior, reducing client discomfort, tissue trauma and healing times. Please have a look at piercing procedure for more details.

My students complete this course knowing much more about piercing than many “experienced” piercers out there.
The reason for this is that I include important peripherals that many other courses choose to ignore – including proper sterilization standards, knowledge of metals appropriate for healing, aftercare and problem solving.
It is my goal that my students build for themselves reputations for excellence—this is exactly what happens and this has been what has built the careers of my past graduates.
Applicants must come in for an interview to determine acceptance.
The course fee is $2500.00 CDN – this fee includes a basic starter kit (basic jewellery, a starter J&B Aftercare kit and tools).

All students are quizzed regularly so that I may be able to assess strengths and weaknesses. Quizzes are not used towards the final mark.
There is a practical and a written exam at the end of this course.
A minimum of 80% is required to pass and receive a Stargazer Studios certificate.
